Notes: | The game in the manufacturer's flyer has a blue cabinet. Games were also produced in a black cabinet. We do not know how many games were made in each color, or why. Pictured in this listing are side-by-side close-ups of the backglass bonus score window showing the word "BONUS" in white lettering and also in red lettering, the former intended to be seen only when illuminated from behind. Steve Charland explained to us in 2013 that the white lettering was a first run of backglasses when it was discovered that the nearby display board was too large to allow a light bulb to be installed where it needed to be installed to illuminate this lettering. He said a second run of backglasses corrected this problem by using red lettering to make the word permanently visible and not dependent upon illumination. We note that all pictures we have received of this game show the white lettering and only the manufacturer's flyer has the red lettering. This oddly suggests that (many) games went out the door to the distributors before the flyer was made to sell these games to the distributors. Perhaps this is a revised flyer and the original ones were destroyed. We have been unable to corroborate Charland's explanation with former Gottlieb employees. | |||||
