Patent 3,404,888 [BALL GATING AND REPROJECTING MEANS] Filed November 30, 1966. Granted on October 8, 1968 to Joseph E. Lally, Thad F. Zale, and Terrence A. Reedy, Jr., assignors to Lion Manufacturing Corporation.

Per Billboard, Nov-5-1966 page 75, this game was launched at the Chicago MOA show held Oct 28-30, 1966. In Cash Box, Nov-19-1966 page 80, Bally announced "delivery this week of 'Bazaar' in standard and add-a-ball models."

Federico Croci, a collector from Italy, owns an Early Production Add-a-ball version with serial number 1003. Until he can send pictures, he describes its differences from those made later in production: "First of all, cabinet used had very different graphics, actually borrowed from Bally's 1965 'Blue Ribbon'. Other differences include the top section of the backglass, instead of the usual numbered half-moon, we have 'super bonus' from 100 to 900. Also, no kick-back on the left 'Special' exit lane. As usual [for an add-a-ball], no credit unit and no credit window in the backglass as well."
