Notes: | Made in 2-player and 4-player versions under license from Gottlieb. The 4-player version is Alben's 1960 'Texan'. The playfield is the same as the one on Gottlieb's 1960 'Texan'. The backglass and playfield carry the Gottlieb logo instead of Alben's logo. Reportedly, if one has a Texan game and is not sure who the actual manufacturer is from looking at the outside, the quality of the metal parts used inside the game is not as high quality as Gottlieb parts and some plastic parts will carry the Alben name. Pictured here is the colorful Formica laminate used on the cabinets for this and other Alben games, reportedly a popular material at that time in France. The coin door in the picture is typical of Alben games. However, pictured here is a section of the underside of the playfield from that same machine showing a Quality Control stamp indicating Rally, not Alben. We don't know why this would be. We are seeking manufacturer documentation of this game, or articles from when this game was new, or pictures if your game has branding inside the cab | |||||||||||||
