The roto-target alternately shows red and black playing cards from 10 to Ace. Two targets can be hit in one shot. Player 1 hits these targets to light spades and hearts on the backglass. Player 2 hits these targets to light diamonds and clubs on the backglass. To direct playfield scoring to the correct player, each time the Player Unit advances to Player 2, relays in the backbox energize to route the playfield features to Player 2 scoring and card counting. When not energized by the Player Unit, these relays route playfield features to Player 1 scoring and card counting. Each player's cards remain lit on the backglass and carry-over from ball-to-ball until the end of game. A replay is awarded for completing a straight flush on the backglass, up to two replays per player. All cards reset only at the start of a new game. There is no carry-over to the next game.
